Kay, from My Random Acts of Reading, left a comment on my post yesterday about The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. She said that my thoughts on synchronicity reminded her of a wonderful quote from the book. I remembered then where it was in the book, so looked it up. She’s right. It perfectly describes what happens to me so often with my reading, and explains exactly what I, too, love about reading.
That’s what I love about reading: one tiny thing will interest you in a book, and that tiny thing will lead you onto another book, and another bit there will lead you onto a third book. It’s geometrically progressive — all with no end in sight, and for no other reason than sheer enjoyment.
