Many of you already know that, in November, the book blogging community lost a special friend, Dewey (The Hidden Side of a Leaf) quite suddenly and unexpectedly. As part of our celebration of Dewey’s life and passion for reading, my friend Chris (Stuff As Dreams Are Made On) and I started a reading challenge. Carl V.(Stainless Steel Droppings) is holding a mini-challenge and tying it to our Dewey’s Books Reading Challenge. Every January-thru-March, he hosts his Sci Fi Experience, which makes winter seem not so long and dismal. Click on that beautiful picture above to go directly to his blog and the rules for the Out of This World Mini-Challenge. It starts tomorrow, focuses on reading science fiction short stories, is only for Saturday and Sunday, and is going to be a blast. I’ve got a book of short stories by Philip K. Dick, and another one by Ursula Le Guin, and a science fiction anthology from my old 6th grade class library. I’m A-OK to go, and ready for blast-off tomorrow morning!
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the stories!
