Yesterday, as I was sitting in front of the TV watching the Super Bowl and knitting at the same time, I realized that was exactly the same thing I was doing 44 years ago, for the first Super Bowl!
So, what was I reading 44 years ago right now? Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens.
I am impressed you keep such detailed records!

That’s so cool – now, do you remember what you were knitting?

I’m ashamed to admit that I couldn’t read yet.
Cool record-keeping!

Thanks, Kailana. It’s just that reading notebook list of books read that I started when I was still in high school. I had a boyfriend at the time that kept a notebook, so I copied him… He’s long gone, but I still have my notebook! 🙂
Lee…I think I was knitting a cardigan for my brother. He picked out the yarn, and I thought it was the ugliest color I’d ever seen, although I didn’t tell him that. It was right about that same time that we discovered he was color blind. He thought it was red…but it wasn’t!
Thanks, Bybee… You probably weren’t old enough to read yet! 🙂 The interesting thing for me is that 44 years sounds like forever, but it really wasn’t that long ago…to me. I don’t understand this time thing.

Wow, I can’t believe you’ve been keeping track since high school! I wish I’d started so early. I began to log my finished books in the 90’s. It’s very cool to even look back 10 years and notice how taste has changed, isn’t it?

Nancy, I was following in a friend’s footsteps, and I’m so grateful that I adopted his idea. I wonder if he kept his notebook going??
