Yes, I have just finished reading Treasure Island, by Robert Louis Stevenson, and enjoyed it immensely! What a great tale! What a terrific adventure! It’s not the first time I’ve read it, or the last, I’m sure. Young Jim Hawkins is such a great hero, and the adventure keeps you riveted to the page. We have the Scribner version of this book with N.C. Wyeth’s wonderful illustrations, which I love, but I’ve also listened to the audiobook version. So, if you’re looking for a terrific summer read, or a great story to listen to on a family road trip, choose Treasure Island!
A Fondness For Reading 
I’ll be reading this one soon and it might actually be a reread but I’m not sure! I can’t remember if I ever read it as a kid or if I just watched the old film of it. Ahh, the memory is going!

I hope you and Z really enjoy it. It’s a rip-roaring adventure, for sure! I’ve read it a couple of times, but had forgotten many of the details. My memory is definitely going, so I can enjoy books over and over as if they were new to me! š
