Well, you know, my mind turns to the crime novel – not completely, but mostly. I’m reading THE STRANGER YOU KNOW, the 4th book in Jane Casey’s Maeve Kerrigan series. I’m very absorbed. Love your quote above. And enjoy your books!

I just finished the audio version of A Spool of Blue Thread, Anne Tyler’s new book. I am also reading Dennis Lehane’s World Gone By. Very different from each other and both very good!

Well, I have just downloaded C S Lewis’s first volume of letters onto my Kindle, looked at it quickly…aged eight in the first letter and a rather tenuous grip on spelling….!

After reading various reports on NOT reading on a Kindle at night, I have looked out some books, just finished one I have had for years…..Yeoman’s Hospital by Helen Ashton, 24 hours in the hospital of a country town somewhere in England in 1943. Probably the sixth time of reading. Next up in a proper book is first volume in a trilogy….Nella’s Last War.

I, too, love that quote and the picture!

I’m reading Wonder by R.J. Palacio, which I’m thoroughly enjoying. Can’t wait to turn my computer off for the night and go read in bed. 🙂

Thanks, Kay. It was an enjoyable weekend of reading followed by an incredibly busy week. I haven’t read any of Jane Casey’s books, but I’ll have to check them out because I love a good crime novel, too!

Marlo, I’ve been looking at A Spool of Blue Thread with great interest. I hadn’t thought about listening to the audiobook, but that’s a great idea!

Gillie, I love reading letters, and I’ve loved the books I’ve read by C.S. Lewis (Narnia, especially!), so I’d probably really enjoy his letters. Yeoman’s Hospital sounds awfully good, too! Happy reading!

Les, I can’t believe I haven’t read Wonder yet! My teacher friends all recommended it highly, too.

Kelly, I love that you’ve been reading all those comic books! You have quite a list on your blog!
