“World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.”
So, Happy World Book Day to you! May your day be filled with books and wonderful stories!

I just read that it is WBD in Britain, but the rest of the world celebrates on April 23. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Book_Day

Thanks for the info, Nan! We always celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday on this day in the classroom with a day-long reading marathon, so I was glad to see that part of the world honors this particular day as World Book Day. No matter when, it’s just lovely to celebrate books!
