A book treasure from my Mom… One of the special things I brought home with me from my mother’s place. It will always bring a smile to my face.

I have a plaque with that same saying on it in my office/library. It totally describes me and my life. Your Mom and I would have gotten along so well. 🙂

Kay, it describes my life, too! You and Mom would definitely have been good book friends!

I’m sure that will always make you think of your mom! The pillow on my reading chair has the same words embroidered on it… a gift from my husband years ago.

Thank you, JoAnn. Yes, I smile each time I look at it and think of Mom. I am rich with so many happy memories.

That porch photo is most inviting.

Thank you, secretary66! It’s a lovely place to sit and read except on weeks like this when the temperatures are in the high 90s. I read inside looking out on the front porch with longing for cooler temps!

I have a pencil with the same quote. Actually, I have several little “bookish” things with quotes about the joy of reading. One of my favorites says, “Old wood to burn, Old wine to drink, Old friends to trust, Old books to read.”
