Reading After Lunch, by Sara Bryant

This morning Byron said to me,  “Rob, I’m reading 4 books right now,” as if that was something to feel guilty about.  I just laughed and told him that I’ve got 4 books going at the same time, too!  One on my Kindle, a library book, an audiobook, and one of my Christmas presents from my daughter. “Guilt-free reading“, I told him!

I am currently reading:

…from the library:  They Called Us Enemy, by George Takei

…current audiobook:  The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood, by Howard Pyle

…on my Kindle:  Ballet Shoes, by Noel Streatfeild

…my Christmas present:  Virginia Woolf at Home, by HIlary Macaskill

Four books at one time! Good for you and your husband. I struggle with doing that, but I often have two at once – print and audio. I’ll watch for what you think about They Call Us Enemy – I’m interested in that one.

Kay, I’m not usually so spread out. I usually have two books going at the same time, too—an audiobook and a Kindle book that I’m reading at different times of the day. But then those library books always come in all at once, and the Christmas gifts… So many books, so little time!

I love it! Two seems to be my maximum – one audio and one in print. I finished listening to Southern Lady Code today (just okay) and have a read/listen of Trollope going. That means I get to choose something else this week.

JoAnn, two is more usual for me, too, but I’m enjoying each of these four at different times of the day—audiobook in the car or while knitting, Kindle book at bedtime, library book this afternoon. 😜

Yes, I usually have two books on the go, a fiction and a nonfiction. At the moment I have three, a bedtime non-fiction as well as the other two. I’m interested in They Called Us Enemy too.

Cath, I just finished They Called Us Enemy, and will be reviewing it tomorrow. Sneak preview: I thought it was excellent and a must read!

My husband was reading three the other day, but he prefers one on his iPad and a hard copy of another. Three is a bit much. I usually listen to one and read one.

Love that picture of the couple reading after lunch. What a great routine that would be to get into!
