Thank you, Iliana! We are enjoying our holiday season. We are fortunate to have our grandson with us for Christmas this year, so it’s a lot of fun going on. Happy Holidays to you, too!

My mother lived in assisted living for the last nine years. As my sister and I sat with her in her last days, I cannot tell you how many staff members came in to tell us how Mom listened and encouraged them. She embodied these wise words.

Dear Marlo, it’s so hard to lose your Mom, no matter what. But I’m so glad you were able to sit with her in her last days, and how lovely that staff members had a chance to tell you how she was special to them, too. I recently listened to a webinar with the poet Naomi Shihab Nye, and was deeply moved by something she said. I’m so glad to be able to share it with you. “Blessings on your Mom’s memory and her spirit in you.”
