Thanks, clavdivs26, I wasn’t able to track down the illustrator, but will add their name when I find out. If you find out who it is, please let me know!
Thank you, Robin. I will let you know. I make a point of trying to find artists of images that don’t provide one. Whomever created the art, be it illustration, photograph, or whatever, is giving of their creativity and effort for the enjoyment of everyone, and the least I can do, is thank them by name. Most times doing an image search with either Google or Bing, eventually nets me a name, but often as not Pinterest posts (which account for 90% of matches) don’t bother with source, either. Still, it’s rewarding when I locate names. And, yes, absolutely I will return to give you any info I find. Ms. Max
Ms. Max, I so agree with you about crediting these talented artists! I appreciate your help in tracking down this one! It’s funny, but I used another painting by Kim Ji-Hyuk in a post just the other day in a blog post that I will publish on Wednesday! I didn’t realize this was another of his, so I’m thrilled with the connection, and obviously am very drawn to his work! I don’t believe in coincidences, and do believe in connections, so I am happy to have connected with you and with this artist who has become a new favorite! Thanks again!
I have found the artist. Her name is Kim Ji-Hyuk. She’s Asian (Chinese? Japanese? Korean?) She does a lot of children’s and young adult book covers. Here is her website http://www.hanuol.com/?ckattempt=1
And on this link you’ll find the illustration of the woman reading, without the text, attributed to Kim Ji-Hyuk. (you’ll need to have the page translated to English to make it out) https://www.sohu.com/a/116593578_486491
So true. Always effective.
