Andrea, it was so peaceful over there this afternoon…for a little while. Then the Cackling Geese arrived back after visiting another pond somewhere, hundreds of them, and it was noisy chaos! Ha!

Blue heron, eagles and pelicans are some of my favorite birds to watch in the wild. Fern Hill Wetlands looks like a great spot for birding!

Les, we saw the heron and a bald eagle, but we’ve only seen the pelicans in flight. We’d like to see a flock of the pelicans on the pond. We do love birdwatching at Fern Hill, or anywhere else, for that matter!
